Car
If you are driving, start from Montevideo. Take Route 1 (Ruta 1) heading east towards Colonia del Sacramento. After approximately 160 km, merge onto Route 9 (Ruta 9) towards Punta del Este. Continue on Route 9 for about 60 km. Once you reach the junction for Punta del Diablo, follow the signs to Punta del Diablo. The Monumento A Artigas is located at coordinates -34.0444952, -53.5341437, which should be easily found using your GPS. There is no entry fee to the monument.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, start your journey at Tres Cruces Bus Terminal in Montevideo. Purchase a ticket for a bus service headed to Punta del Diablo. The bus ride will take about 4 to 5 hours. Once you arrive at Punta del Diablo, you can take a local taxi or walk to the Monumento A Artigas. It's approximately a 10-minute drive or a 30-minute walk from the bus station to the monument. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited.
