Car
If you're driving from Montevideo, take Route 1 towards Colonia del Sacramento. This scenic drive takes approximately 2 hours. Once you reach Colonia, follow the signs to the city center. Park your car in one of the public parking areas near the historic district. From the parking area, San Miguel Bastion is a short walk. Head towards the waterfront and follow the promenade; the bastion will be on your left.
Public Transportation - Bus
To reach San Miguel Bastion by bus from Montevideo, go to the Tres Cruces Bus Terminal. Purchase a ticket to Colonia del Sacramento, which will cost around 400-500 UYU. The bus journey takes approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival at the Colonia bus terminal, exit and walk towards the historic district. Head towards the waterfront, and you will find San Miguel Bastion along the promenade.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route from the Colonia bus terminal to San Miguel Bastion, consider taking a taxi. The ride should cost around 150-200 UYU and take about 10 minutes. Just inform the driver you want to go to San Miguel Bastion, and they will take you directly to the entrance.
