    Getting There

    Walking

    From central Punta Carretas, head towards the Rambla de Montevideo, which runs along the coast. You can enter this promenade from any of the nearby streets leading to the waterfront. Walk west along the Rambla for approximately 15 minutes. You will pass by beautiful views of the coastline and the beach. As you approach Punta Del Papu, look for signs indicating the park area. It is located at the address 3R9R+M38, just off the promenade.

    Public Bus

    If you prefer taking public transport, you can catch a bus from Punta Carretas. Look for bus stops along Avenida 18 de Julio or near the Punta Carretas Shopping Center. Take bus number 144 or 148, heading towards Carrasco or Ciudad Vieja. Get off at the stop for 'Rambla y 21 de Setiembre.' From there, it’s a short 5-10 minute walk towards the Rambla and follow it west until you reach Punta Del Papu. Note that bus fares are around 50 Uruguayan Pesos (approximately $1.25 USD).
