Car
If you are driving from Salto, take Route 3 heading south. Continue on Route 3 for approximately 90 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 4. Turn left onto Route 4 and follow it for about 30 kilometers. You will see signs for Touruguay as you approach the area. Make sure to have a GPS or a map for easier navigation. Fuel stations are available along Route 3, but plan your stops accordingly.
Public Transportation
To reach Touruguay using public transport, start by taking a bus from Salto to Paysandú. The bus departs from the main terminal and typically costs around 200 Uruguayan pesos. Once you arrive in Paysandú, find a local bus that goes towards Touruguay, which should be clearly marked. The bus fare for this leg is approximately 100 Uruguayan pesos. The total travel time may take around 3-4 hours, so plan your journey accordingly.
Taxi or Rideshare
For a more direct route, consider hiring a taxi or using a rideshare service from your location in Northern Region. The cost will vary depending on your starting point, but expect to pay a minimum of 1000 Uruguayan pesos. This option is more convenient if traveling in a group, as you can share the fare. Always confirm the fare before starting your journey.
