Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the main road in Punta Ballena, Ruta 10. Head southwest on Ruta 10, following the signs for Punta del Chileno. After approximately 5 minutes of driving, you will see signage pointing towards Punta del Chileno. Turn left onto a smaller road right before reaching the coast. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you reach the parking area near Punta del Chileno. Note that parking may incur a small fee, so be prepared with some cash.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check local bus schedules for routes heading toward Punta Ballena. You can catch a bus from central Punta del Este that goes to Punta Ballena. Once you arrive at the Punta Ballena bus stop, it's about a 15-20 minute walk to Punta del Chileno. Head southwest along Ruta 10, then turn left onto the smaller road leading toward the coast. Follow this road until you reach the Punta del Chileno area. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and carry water, as the walk can be a bit strenuous.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, renting a bike in Punta Ballena is a great option. Begin your ride on Ruta 10 heading in the direction of Punta del Chileno. The route is scenic and will take about 25-30 minutes, depending on your pace. Once you approach the coastline, look for the smaller road that leads directly to Punta del Chileno. Make sure to wear a helmet and bring water for the ride.
