Getting There

Bus
From the center of Punta del Este, walk to the main bus terminal located at Avenida Gorlero. Look for the bus line headed towards Maldonado. Purchase a ticket from the kiosk or the driver. Once on the bus, ask the driver to let you know when you reach the stop for Cerro de los Toros. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the entrance of Cerro de los Toros, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
If you are comfortable on a bicycle, you can rent one from various shops in Punta del Este. Start at the beachfront and head east along Rambla General Jose Artigas until you reach the roundabout at Avenida del Libertador. Take the second exit towards Ruta 10. Continue straight for about 6 kilometers until you see signs for Cerro de los Toros. Follow the signs, and you will find the entrance. The ride should take around 30-40 minutes.

For those who enjoy walking, you can start from the Punta del Este bus terminal. Head northwest on Calle 24 until you reach Avenida Gorlero. Continue on Avenida Gorlero and then take a left onto Avenida del Libertador. Follow this road until you see signs for Cerro de los Toros. This walk is approximately 7 kilometers and will take about 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
