If you're driving from the center of Rivera, take Route 5 (Ruta 5) heading south. Continue on Route 5 for approximately 75 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 27 (Ruta 27). Exit onto Route 27 toward Montevideo. After about 200 kilometers, keep left to stay on Route 1 (Ruta 1) and follow signs for Montevideo. Once you reach Montevideo, take the exit toward Av. 18 de Julio. Continue straight until you reach Plaza Independencia. The Artigas Mausoleum is located in this square. Parking is available around the plaza, but be aware that there may be parking fees.
