If you are driving from the center of Rivera, head south on Avenida Sarandí. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach Ruta 5. Merge onto Ruta 5 heading south. After approximately 110 kilometers, you will enter Montevideo. Follow signs to the city center. Once in Montevideo, take the exit towards Ciudad Vieja and continue onto Avenida 18 de Julio. Turn left onto Plaza Independencia; Palacio Salvo will be on your right at Pl. Independencia 848. Note that parking may be available in nearby public lots, and fees may apply.

To reach Palacio Salvo via public transport, you can take a bus from Rivera to Montevideo. Look for buses that head to Montevideo Centro, such as the 'COT' or 'COPSA' lines. The journey will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Montevideo, get off at the terminal or a stop near Avenida 18 de Julio.
