Turn left onto Route 9 and drive for about 6 kilometers. You will see signs indicating the Fortress of Santa Teresa. Follow the signs for another 9 kilometers until you arrive at the fortress entrance, which is located at 9 km. 303, 27204 Departamento de Rocha.

To reach the Fortress of Santa Teresa from Sierra de los Caracoles using public transportation, take a local bus heading towards Rocha. You will need to board the bus at the nearest bus stop in Sierra de los Caracoles. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop near Route 9. From there, you can either walk for about 6 kilometers down Route 9 or take a taxi to the fortress entrance, which is another 9 kilometers away. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited on certain days.
