Car

From Sierra de Minas, take Route 8 (Ruta 8) heading southeast towards Montevideo. Continue on Route 8 for approximately 130 kilometers. As you approach Montevideo, follow the signs for Avenida Italia and take the exit towards the city center. Merge onto Avenida 18 de Julio and drive towards the city center. Finally, turn right onto Avenida Tomas Giribaldi, where the National Museum of Visual Arts is located at number 2283. Parking is available nearby, but be mindful of any parking fees in the area.
