    Getting There

    Walking

    From the central square of Tacuarembó, head west on Avenida Libertador General José de San Martín. Continue straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the intersection with Ruta 5. Turn right onto Ruta 5 and walk for approximately 2 km. Look for a sign indicating Gruta de los helechos. After passing the sign, follow the path leading to the entrance of the Gruta. The walk may take around 30-40 minutes.

    Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Tacuarembó. Start from Plaza 19 de Abril and ride west on Avenida Libertador General José de San Martín for about 1.5 km. Turn right onto Ruta 5 and continue cycling for approximately 2 km. You will see signs for Gruta de los helechos. Follow the road until you reach the entrance. The bike ride should take about 20 minutes.

    Public Transport

    From Tacuarembó's main bus terminal, catch a bus heading towards San Gregorio de Polanco. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the stop for Gruta de los helechos. The bus journey will take roughly 30 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs for a short walk to the entrance of the Gruta.
