Car
From Brian Head Ski Resort, head southeast on Brian Head Blvd. Continue for about 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 143. Turn left onto Highway 143 and drive for approximately 8 miles. Watch for signs for Cedar Canyon and the Ashdown Gorge Wilderness Area. Once you reach the Cedar Canyon area, follow the signs indicating the wilderness area. Park in the designated parking area at Cedar Canyon, which is free of charge. From the parking area, you can access various trails leading into the wilderness.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a shuttle or bus service from Brian Head to Cedar City. Various shuttle services operate in the area, but be sure to check schedules in advance as they may vary by season. Once you arrive in Cedar City, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to Cedar Canyon, as public transport directly to the Ashdown Gorge Wilderness Area is limited. The taxi fare from Cedar City to Cedar Canyon may range from $20 to $30.
