Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving within Bryce Canyon National Park, head towards the Bryce Canyon Visitor Center, which is a central point in the park. From the Visitor Center, take the road marked 'Bryce Canyon Scenic Drive'. This scenic drive is 18 miles long and has several viewpoints along the way. Continue driving until you reach the Bryce Amphitheater, which is located roughly 3 miles from the Visitor Center. Look for the signs indicating the viewpoints: Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, Inspiration Point, and Bryce Point, as these are all part of the amphitheater area. Parking is available at each viewpoint, and there is no additional fee beyond the park entrance fee.

• Public Transportation

  During the peak season (typically from late May to late September), the park offers a shuttle service called the Bryce Canyon Shuttle. To utilize this service, you can catch the shuttle from designated stops in the park, such as the Visitor Center. The shuttle operates frequently and will take you directly to the Bryce Amphitheater area. The shuttle is included in the park entrance fee, so there are no additional costs for using it. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule upon arrival to plan your visit effectively.

• Hiking

  For those who enjoy hiking, there are several trails that lead into the Bryce Amphitheater from various points in the park. One popular route is the Queens Garden Trail, which can be accessed from Sunrise Point. This trail descends into the amphitheater and offers stunning views of the unique rock formations. Alternatively, you can take the Peek-a-boo Loop Trail, which also provides access to the amphitheater. Be prepared with proper hiking gear and check the trail conditions at the Visitor Center before starting your hike.
