If you are driving, start from the Island in the Sky Visitor Center, located at 1000 Canyonlands National Park Road, Moab, UT. From the visitor center, take the Canyonlands National Park Road (also known as UT-313) for about 7 miles until you reach the park entrance. Enter the park and continue on the main road for approximately 23 miles. Look for the sign for the Broken Arch trailhead, located on the left side of the road. Park your vehicle in the designated parking area.
Hiking
Once you have parked at the Broken Arch trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 1 mile to reach Broken Arch. The trail is well-marked and relatively easy to follow. Begin your hike on the sandy trail and follow the signs leading to Broken Arch. The trail may have some uneven surfaces, so wear sturdy hiking shoes. This hike offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, so take your time and enjoy the scenery.
Public Transportation
If you are relying on public transportation, you may find it challenging as there are limited options in the area. The nearest major city is Moab, which has some shuttle services. You can contact local tour companies in Moab for shuttle services to Canyonlands National Park. Once you arrive at the park, you will still need to hike to Broken Arch as there are no direct public transport options to the arch itself.
