Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from Moab, UT. Head south on US-191 for about 16 miles. Turn left onto UT-313 West. Continue on UT-313 for approximately 10 miles until you reach the Canyonlands National Park entrance. There is an entrance fee of $30 per vehicle that is valid for 7 days. After entering the park, follow the signs for Green River Overlook, which is located about 7 miles from the entrance on the left side of the road. The overlook provides stunning views of the Green River and the surrounding canyons.

• Public Transportation + Shuttle

  If you are using public transportation, take a local bus from Moab to Canyonlands. The Moab Area Transit provides shuttle services to Canyonlands National Park. Check the current schedule for times and routes. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you will need to use a park shuttle service to reach the Green River Overlook. The shuttle may have specific stops, so confirm that it includes a stop at Green River Overlook. Note that the park entrance fee of $30 per vehicle applies, but shuttles may have their own fare, so be sure to check beforehand.

• Biking

  For adventurous travelers, biking to Green River Overlook can be a rewarding option. Rent a bike in Moab and take US-191 south to UT-313. From there, bike along UT-313 towards Canyonlands National Park. Be prepared for uphill climbs and varying terrain. Once you reach the park entrance, there is no additional biking fee, but you must pay the $30 entrance fee. Ensure you have enough water and snacks for the journey, as facilities are limited.
