Car
To reach Capitol Reef National Park from Canyonlands, first head east on UT-313, which is the main road out of Canyonlands. Continue on UT-313 until you reach US-191. Turn right onto US-191 South and follow it for approximately 30 miles until you reach the junction with I-70. Merge onto I-70 West and continue for about 40 miles. Take exit 149 for US-24 South toward Capitol Reef National Park. Follow US-24 for about 20 miles, and you will arrive at the park entrance. Make sure to have your park entrance fee ready, which is $20 per vehicle for a 7-day pass.

Public Transportation
If you are relying on public transportation, you will need to first take a Greyhound bus or a similar service from Moab (the nearest major town to Canyonlands) to Torrey, Utah, which is the closest town to Capitol Reef National Park. The bus ride will take around 2-3 hours, depending on the schedule. Once you arrive in Torrey, there are local taxis or rideshare services that can take you the remaining 12 miles to the park entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance and consider booking a taxi in advance as well.

Bicycle
For the more adventurous, biking is also an option. From Canyonlands, you can cycle along the scenic roads. Start on UT-313 heading east and follow the same route as you would by car. Be prepared for varying terrain and ensure you have enough water, food, and equipment for the journey. The total biking distance is approximately 60 miles, so plan accordingly and consider overnight camping if needed.
