If you are driving, start from the Island in the Sky Visitor Center in Canyonlands National Park. Head south on the Island in the Sky Road, then take the exit for UT-191 S. Continue south on UT-191 for about 31 miles until you reach the junction with US-163. Turn left onto US-163 S and follow it for approximately 14 miles. You will notice Mexican Hat Rock as you approach the town of Mexican Hat. Look for the rock formation on your right, and you can park in the nearby area to view it up close.
