To reach Provo Canyon by car from Cedar Valley, start by heading east on UT-73 E (Main St) for about 5 miles. Merge onto I-15 N and continue for about 10 miles. Take exit 272 for US-189 toward Provo. Merge onto US-189 and follow the signs for Provo Canyon. Continue on US-189 for approximately 10 miles until you reach Provo Canyon Road (2487 E Provo Canyon Rd, Provo, UT 84604). There is no entry fee for the canyon itself, but be prepared for potential parking fees at specific trailheads or recreation areas.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a combination of Utah Transit Authority (UTA) buses. Start by taking the UTA bus route 811 from Cedar Valley to the Lehi Station. From Lehi Station, transfer to the FrontRunner train heading north to Provo Station. From Provo Station, you will need to catch the UTA bus route 850 (Provo to Provo Canyon) which will take you directly to Provo Canyon. Be sure to check the UTA schedule for the latest timings. The total cost for a one-way trip is approximately $5, which includes the bus and train fares.
