The entrance to the wilderness is located just off Highway 12 near Escalante, UT 84726. There is no entrance fee for the wilderness area, but ensure your vehicle is suitable for dirt roads as some parts may be unpaved.

Public transportation options directly to Box-Death Hollow Wilderness are limited. However, you can take a bus from St. George to Escalante.
