Car
If you are driving from downtown Dixie (St. George), start by heading north on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach UT-18 N. Merge onto UT-18 N and follow it for about 5 miles. Take the exit toward Red Cliffs Desert Reserve, and merge onto Red Cliffs Drive. After approximately 2 miles, turn left onto 5600 N. Continue on this road until you reach the intersection at 1180 W. Scout Cave will be on your right. There is no parking fee for accessing the cave area.

Currently, public transportation options are limited in the area. However, you can take a local shuttle service or taxi from St. George to Red Cliffs Desert Reserve. Request a drop-off at the intersection of 5600 N and 1180 W. From there, it's a short walk to Scout Cave. Be sure to check the schedule and availability of local shuttle services ahead of time, as they may require advance bookings.

If you are already at the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve area, you can walk to Scout Cave. Start at the parking area and follow the established trails leading to the cave. The hike is moderate, and it is advisable to wear sturdy shoes and bring water. The distance is approximately 1 mile from the parking area, so it should take about 20-30 minutes to reach the cave.
