Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the town of Escalante and head south on UT-12. Continue on UT-12 for approximately 25 miles until you reach the intersection with US-89. Turn left onto US-89 and drive for about 16 miles. Then, take a right turn onto E 100 S in Parowan. Continue on E 100 S until you reach the intersection with S 200 W. The United States Map Landmark will be on your right at 100 S 200 W St, Parowan, UT 84761.

• Public Transportation

  Unfortunately, public transportation options in this remote area are limited. The closest bus service is likely to be found in larger towns, such as Cedar City. If you are using public transport, it is recommended to take a Greyhound or similar bus service to Cedar City. From there, you can rent a car or arrange for a taxi to take you to the United States Map Landmark. The distance from Cedar City to the landmark is approximately 30 miles, and you would follow the same driving directions as mentioned above.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, biking is also an option. From Escalante, take UT-12 south towards US-89. This route is approximately 25 miles and can be challenging due to the terrain and traffic. Ensure you have adequate supplies, including water and snacks, as there are limited stops along the way. Once you reach US-89, head south and follow the driving directions provided earlier to reach the United States Map Landmark.

• Walking

  Walking to the United States Map Landmark from Escalante is not recommended due to the significant distance of approximately 41 miles. However, if you are determined to hike, ensure you are well-prepared with maps, water, and food. Follow the same route as the driving instructions, and consider breaking the journey into segments, as there are no established paths for walking. It's advisable to hike with a companion for safety reasons.
