From the center of Escalante, head west on UT-12 for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with the Hole-in-the-Rock Road. Turn left onto Hole-in-the-Rock Road. Continue on this road for approximately 15 miles until you reach the trailhead for the Box-Death Hollow Wilderness. The trailhead is located at the end of the road. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and a map of the area, as well as a compass or GPS device to navigate the trails.
Biking
Starting from Escalante, take UT-12 heading west for about 1 mile. Turn left onto Hole-in-the-Rock Road and continue for approximately 15 miles. The road can be rough, so ensure your bike is suited for off-road terrain. Once you reach the trailhead for Box-Death Hollow Wilderness, park your bike and prepare for your hike. Ensure you have the right gear for a day in the wilderness.
Walking
