From downtown Escalante, start at the Escalante Visitor Center located at 755 West Main Street. Head west on Main Street and continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the junction with Highway 12. Cross the highway carefully, ensuring there is no traffic. After crossing, continue straight on the access road that leads to Kodachrome State Park. Follow the road for approximately 2 miles until you reach the park entrance. The entire walk should take around 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

If you have a bicycle, you can take a more scenic route. Start at the Escalante Visitor Center and head west on Main Street. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto Highway 12.
