Look for the trailhead on the right side. Begin your hike on the Escalante River Trail. Follow the trail for approximately 5 miles, enjoying the scenic beauty and keeping an eye out for trail markers. As you approach Powell Point, watch for a side trail leading up to Powell Point Vista, which is about a half mile from the main trail.

    Starting from the Escalante Visitor Center, head east on Main Street toward UT-12. Turn left onto UT-12 and bike for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Escalante River Trailhead. Secure your bike and begin hiking the Escalante River Trail. Continue on the trail for approximately 5 miles. You will encounter a marked turnoff for Powell Point Vista, which is an additional half mile hike from the main trail.

    If you're in the downtown area of Escalante, walk east along Main Street until you reach the intersection with UT-12. Cross the street and continue walking southeast on UT-12 for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at the Escalante River Trailhead. From there, you will start your hike along the Escalante River Trail for about 5 miles. Look for signs indicating the trail to Powell Point Vista, which will be a short hike of about half a mile off the main trail.
