From the center of Escalante, head east on Main Street (Utah Route 12). Continue walking for about 1 mile until you reach the trailhead for Under-the-Rim Trail, which will be located on your left. Look for the trailhead signs indicating 'Under-the-Rim Trail.'

If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Escalante Visitor Center located at 755 W Main St. Head east on Main Street (Utah Route 12) for approximately 1 mile. The Under-the-Rim Trail trailhead will be on your left. Be cautious of traffic as you bike along the route.
