From the center of Henry Mountains, head southeast on the main road (Scenic Byway 12) toward Lake Powell. Continue for approximately 30 miles. When you reach the junction with US-89, turn south. Drive for about 15 miles until you reach the entrance to the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. There may be an entrance fee of approximately $30 per vehicle, valid for up to 7 days. After entering, follow the signs to Defiance House, which is located near Lake Powell at the coordinates 37.5461° N, 110.5852° W. The site is a short drive from the visitor center.
