Getting There

    From the center of Kanab, start at the intersection of US-89 and E 100 S. Head south on US-89 for approximately 2 miles. You will see a trailhead on your left (east side of the road) before you reach the Sand Caves. This area is marked with a small sign indicating the Sand Caves. Follow the path leading into the hills, keeping an eye out for trail markers. The hike to the caves is about 0.5 miles and will take you through some sandy terrain, so wear appropriate footwear.

    Starting from downtown Kanab, head south on US-89, following the bike lanes whenever available. Continue for about 2 miles. Look for a trailhead on your left (east side of the road) just before you reach the Sand Caves. Lock your bike at the trailhead and proceed on foot down the marked trail leading into the hills. The path to the caves is roughly 0.5 miles long through sandy terrain.
