Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Moab, head south on Main St toward 100 S. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-191. Turn left onto US-191 and walk for approximately 1 mile. You will come to a bus stop where you can catch the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) bus that operates routes to Arches National Park. Board the bus heading towards the park. After about 5 miles, the bus will drop you off at the entrance of Arches National Park. From the park entrance, proceed to the visitor center to get more information and maps. After visiting the center, follow the signs for the Windows Section of the park. The trailhead for Double Arch is approximately 1 mile from the visitor center. Follow the paved path that leads to Double Arch which is well marked. The walk will take you about 20-30 minutes.

  • Biking

    If you prefer biking, rent a bike in Moab and head south on Main St toward 100 S. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach US-191. Turn left onto US-191 and bike for approximately 1 mile. At the bus stop, you can bring your bike onto the UTA bus that serves Arches National Park. Make sure to check the UTA bike policy before boarding. After reaching the park entrance, you can bike directly to the visitor center. From the visitor center, follow the signs to the Windows Section. The trail to Double Arch is about 1 mile from the visitor center. Biking on this trail is allowed and offers beautiful views along the way.
