Start at the Moab Visitor Center located at 25 E Center St, Moab, UT 84532. Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops nearby if you don’t have one. Head south on Main St. (US-191) for about 0.5 miles. Turn right onto UT-279 (also known as the Potash Road). Continue on UT-279 for approximately 10 miles. Look for the Jug Handle Arch trailhead on your left. Park your bicycle and follow the trail to the arch, which is about a 1-mile hike from the trailhead.

If you prefer to hike from Moab, start at the Moab City Center. From the center, head south on Main St. (US-191) for about 0.5 miles. Turn right onto UT-279. You will need to walk along this road, which does not have sidewalks, so be cautious. Continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach the Jug Handle Arch trailhead, which will be on your left. The arch is about a 1-mile hike from the trailhead. Ensure you have plenty of water and sun protection, as this path is exposed.
