Bicycle
From downtown Moab, head east on Main Street toward 100 East. Turn left on 100 East and continue until you reach the intersection with 200 South. Turn right onto 200 South, which becomes Kane Creek Blvd. Follow Kane Creek Blvd until it ends at the entrance to the Sand Flats Recreation Area. Purchase a day pass if required. Continue on the main road until you reach the junction for White Rim Road. Follow the signs to Murphy Point Overlook, which is about 7 miles from the entrance.
Walking
Starting from the Moab Visitor Center at 25 East Center Street, walk east on Center Street until you reach Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and walk north until you reach the intersection with 400 North. Here, turn right onto 400 North, which will lead you out of town and toward the Sand Flats Recreation Area. Note that this is a long walk (approximately 6 miles) to the entrance of the recreation area. From there, you can hike to Murphy Point Overlook, which is about 7 miles from the entrance.

Check with local shuttle services such as 'Moab Adventure Center' or 'Canyonlands Field Institute' for shuttle options to the Sand Flats Recreation Area. You can book a shuttle that can take you directly to the entrance of the area, where you can then access Murphy Point Overlook.
