Getting There

• Walking

  Start from the center of Moab at the intersection of Main St and Center St. Head north on Main St for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Kane Springs Road. Continue walking along Kane Springs Road for approximately 3 miles. Keep an eye out for trailheads and signs marking the route to the Birthing Scene Petroglyph. As you approach the area, look for a well-marked trail leading towards the petroglyph site. Follow the trail, which may have some rocky terrain, for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Birthing Scene Petroglyph.

• Biking

  Rent a bike from one of the local shops in Moab. Start your journey from the bike rental location and head north on Main St until you reach the intersection with Kane Springs Road. Turn right onto Kane Springs Road. Continue biking for about 3 miles. There may be specific bike trails that lead toward the petroglyph site, so be attentive to trail markers. Once you arrive at the petroglyph area, lock your bike and walk the remaining 0.5 miles on foot along the designated trail to see the Birthing Scene Petroglyph.

• Hiking

  If you prefer a more adventurous option, you can hike from Moab. Begin at the Moab Valley Visitor Center and take the scenic route through the surrounding landscape. Hike north towards Kane Springs Road and follow the road for about 3 miles. Look for signs indicating the trail to the Birthing Scene Petroglyph. The hike will involve some elevation changes and rocky paths, so be prepared with proper hiking gear. After approximately 0.5 miles of hiking on the trail, you will arrive at the petroglyph site.
