Starting from downtown Moab, head north on Main Street. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 400 North. Turn left onto 400 North and continue walking until you reach the entrance of Arches National Park. This is approximately 1 mile from Main Street. Once at the park entrance, you can either pay the entrance fee or show your park pass. After entering the park, continue on the main road until you reach the Colorado River Overlook parking area, which is about 3 miles from the entrance. From the parking area, a short walk will take you to the overlook.
Biking
If you have a bike, start from the Moab Bike Shop on Main Street. Head north on Main Street, then turn left onto 400 North. Continue biking until you reach the entrance of Arches National Park. After paying your entrance fee, bike along the main park road. The Colorado River Overlook is about 3 miles from the park entrance. There are bike racks available at the overlook for you to secure your bike while you enjoy the view.
Public Transport and Walking
Check the local transit schedule for any shuttles heading to Arches National Park. If available, take a shuttle from downtown Moab to the park entrance. Once you arrive at the entrance, you can either walk or bike to the Colorado River Overlook, which is about 3 miles from the entrance. If you need to walk, make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the walk includes some uphill sections.
