Getting There

• Bicycle

  Start at the Moab Downtown area. Head southeast on Main Street toward 100 E. Continue straight onto S 100 E, then turn left onto E 200 S. After a few blocks, take a right onto S 400 E, which becomes Sand Flats Road after a couple of miles. Follow Sand Flats Road for about 3 miles until you reach the entrance of Sand Flats Recreation Area.

• Walking

  From the Moab Visitor Center located at 25 E Center St, head east on Center Street until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue for about 1 mile. Turn right onto Sand Flats Road and walk along it for approximately 3 miles until you reach Sand Flats Recreation Area. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water as it can be a long walk.
