Getting There

Start at the center of Mt. Carmel. Head south on US-89 for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with East 300 North. Continue walking south, and keep an eye on the landscape as you go. You will eventually see the entrance to Sand Caves on the right-hand side of the road. The caves are located approximately 2 miles south of the town center, and you can spot them from the road.

From the center of Mt. Carmel, rent a bike if you don't have one. Head south on US-89, taking the same route as walkers. It will take about 10-15 minutes to bike the 2 miles to the Sand Caves. The caves will be on your right side. Be cautious of traffic, especially since this road can be busy.

If you're feeling adventurous and would like to hike to the Sand Caves, start from the center of Mt. Carmel and take the path along US-89 heading south.
