    Starting from the center of Mt. Carmel, head southwest on UT-9 W. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway (UT-9). Turn right onto Zion-Mount Carmel Highway. After about 2 miles, look for the trailhead for the Angels Landing Trail on your left, which is a popular access point for Scout Lookout. Once at the trailhead, follow the trail signs leading up to Scout Lookout, which is approximately a 2-mile hike with a significant elevation gain.
