Walking
Start from the center of Mt. Carmel at the intersection of Highway 89 and Main Street. Head south on Main Street until you reach the end of the road at Highway 89. Turn left onto Highway 89 heading southeast. Continue walking for about 5 miles. Along the way, you will pass through scenic landscapes and red rock formations. Be cautious as there may be limited sidewalks. After approximately 5 miles, look for a small parking area on the right side of the highway, which marks the trailhead for Toadstool Hoodoos.

Once you reach the Toadstool Hoodoos trailhead parking area, you will find a marked trail leading into the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. The trail is approximately 1.5 miles round trip. Begin your hike by following the well-marked path, which is relatively flat but may have some sandy sections. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Toadstool Hoodoos. After about half a mile, you will start to see the unique hoodoo formations rising from the ground. Take your time to enjoy the views and capture photos of the colorful rock formations.
