Starting from the center of Mt. Carmel, head south on E Main St toward S 200 E St. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with UT-9 W. Cross the street carefully and continue onto the Zion – Mount Carmel Hwy. Walk along the highway for approximately 1.5 miles. You'll pass by beautiful landscapes and signs for the area. As you approach the Canyon Junction Bridge, look for the designated pedestrian path to your left that leads directly to the bridge area. The bridge is located at approximately 37.2176119 latitude and -112.9751124 longitude, so keep an eye out for the scenic views as you walk.
Bicycle
From Mt. Carmel, locate a bicycle rental shop nearby if you don’t have your own bike. Once you have your bike, head south on E Main St and take a right onto UT-9 W. Continue cycling along the Zion – Mount Carmel Hwy, which is about 1.5 miles to Canyon Junction Bridge. Be cautious of traffic, as this is a highway. The route is relatively flat and offers stunning views. Look for the bike lane or shoulder to ensure your safety while riding.
Hiking
If you prefer a hiking route, start from the Mt. Carmel area and head towards the Zion – Mount Carmel Hwy. There are various trails leading towards the highway. Once you reach the highway, follow the path that leads to the Canyon Junction Bridge. The total distance is about 2 miles, so be prepared for a moderate hike with some elevation changes. Bring plenty of water and enjoy the natural scenery along the way.
