Getting There

Walking
Start your journey from the center of Mt. Carmel. Head south on Main Street (also known as State Route 9) for about 0.5 miles. You will pass a few local shops and cafes along the way. Continue until you reach the junction with U.S. Route 89.

At the junction, turn left onto U.S. Route 89 heading south. Be cautious as this is a busier road. Walk for approximately 2 miles until you reach the entrance to the Zion National Park East Entrance. This is a great spot for a rest and to take in some scenery.

After resting, continue on the path leading into Zion National Park. Follow the signs for the East Rim Trail. The trailhead is well-marked and you will be surrounded by stunning views. Hike for about 3 miles on the East Rim Trail until you reach the Cutler Point viewpoint.
