Getting There

Walking
From the center of Mt. Carmel, head east on State Route 9 (Zion Park Blvd) for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-89. At the intersection, turn left onto US-89 North. Continue walking for approximately 11 miles along US-89. You'll pass through beautiful landscapes and might see some local wildlife along the way. As you approach Kanab, keep an eye out for the Kanab Visitor Center on your left at 745 US-89. The journey will take about 3.5 hours, so plan accordingly with water and sunscreen.

If you prefer to bike, start from the center of Mt. Carmel and head east on State Route 9 (Zion Park Blvd) for about 0.5 miles. Turn left onto US-89 North and continue biking for approximately 11 miles. This route is relatively flat, making it a pleasant ride. Expect the trip to take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your biking speed. The Kanab Visitor Center will be on your left at 745 US-89. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated!

To reach the Kanab Visitor Center using public transport, first check the local shuttle bus schedule from Mt. Carmel to Kanab. Typically, you will board a shuttle at the Mt. Carmel Town Hall. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Kanab, you can walk to the Kanab Visitor Center located at 745 US-89, which is about a 15-minute walk from the shuttle drop-off point.
