To reach Great Salt Lake State Park from downtown Salt Lake City, start by taking the TRAX light rail from the City Center Station. Board the Blue Line train towards the Salt Lake International Airport. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at the last stop, the Salt Lake Central Station. From there, transfer to the UTA bus route 455 towards Magna. The bus will take you directly to Magna, and you should get off at the stop closest to 13312 W 1075 S. The park entrance is a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike shop in downtown Salt Lake City. Head west on 400 South towards Redwood Road. Follow Redwood Road north until you reach I-80. Take the I-80 West bike path until you reach 7200 West. Continue south on 7200 West, and then take a left onto 2700 South which will lead you into Magna. Follow the signs to Great Salt Lake State Park, which is located at 13312 W 1075 S. The total bike ride is approximately 20 miles and should take around 1-1.5 hours.
