Getting There

• Car

  From Sundance, head east on UT-92 E for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with US-189. Turn left onto US-189 N and continue for approximately 6 miles. Look for signs for the Provo Canyon Scenic Byway (US-189). Continue on US-189 N until you reach the turnoff for the Lost Creek Falls trailhead, which is located on the right side of the road. There is a parking area near the trailhead where you can leave your vehicle. Note that there may be a parking fee, typically around $6.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) bus route 850 from Sundance to Provo. You will need to transfer to route 751 at the Provo station, which will take you toward Provo Canyon. Get off at the stop closest to the Lost Creek Falls trailhead. Be sure to check the UTA schedule in advance for bus times, as they may vary. The fare for a single ride is generally around $2.50.

• Hiking

  Once you reach the Lost Creek Falls trailhead, begin your hike on the designated trail. The hike to the falls is approximately 1.5 miles one way and is considered moderately difficult. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes and bring water. The trail leads you through beautiful scenery, with several viewpoints along the way. Follow the signs for Lost Creek Falls, and be prepared for some elevation gain as you approach the falls.
