Hiking
Starting from the center of Torrey, head south on UT-12 toward Capitol Reef National Park. After approximately 2 miles, you will reach the Burr Trail junction on your left. Follow Burr Trail Road for about 5 miles, where you will begin to see the stunning landscape that leads to the switchbacks. As you approach the switchbacks, the trail will begin to climb steeply, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding canyons and rock formations. Be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring plenty of water for this hike. The switchbacks themselves are a series of tight turns that lead you up the hillside, providing a thrilling and scenic ascent. Enjoy the stunning vistas of the Waterpocket Fold as you navigate the switchbacks.
