Keep an eye out for the sign for Capital Reef National Park. The Fruita Schoolhouse is located just inside the park, which is a short walk from the road. Look for the entrance to the park and proceed toward the schoolhouse, which is approximately 0.2 miles from the entrance.
Biking
If you have a bicycle, start from downtown Torrey and ride west on UT-24. Follow the road for about 1.5 miles. This route offers a scenic ride with views of the surrounding landscape. Upon reaching the entrance of Capital Reef National Park, you can park your bike and walk the additional 0.2 miles to reach the Fruita Schoolhouse.
