If you are already in Capitol Reef National Park, start at the Visitor Center located at 1000 UT-24, Torrey, UT 84775. From the Visitor Center, head south on Scenic Drive (follow the signs for Scenic Drive). Continue on Scenic Drive for about 5 miles. You will pass by several scenic viewpoints. Once you reach the end of Scenic Drive, you will find the Gifford Homestead on your right. Look for the parking area just before the homestead. Parking is free, but be sure to check the park's current policies for any changes.

For those interested in biking, you can use the scenic bike paths available in Capitol Reef National Park. Starting from the Visitor Center, follow the designated bike trail that runs parallel to Scenic Drive. The ride to Gifford Homestead is about 5 miles and is relatively flat. Once you reach the end of Scenic Drive, you will find Gifford Homestead on your right, where you can tie up your bike in the designated area.
