Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the Aspen Grove Trailhead, which serves as the primary access point to Stewart Falls. From Provo, UT, take US-189 north. After approximately 10 miles, take the exit for the Alpine Loop Scenic Byway (UT-92). Continue up the Alpine Loop for about 5 miles until you reach the Aspen Grove parking area. Be aware that there is a parking fee of $6 per vehicle, so have cash ready. Once parked, follow the well-marked trail from the Aspen Grove Trailhead towards Stewart Falls.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Stewart Falls via public transportation, first take a UTA bus to Provo. From the Provo Station, you can catch a bus heading towards the Alpine Loop area. Check the UTA website for the latest bus schedules and routes. Once you arrive at the nearest stop to the Alpine Loop, you may need to walk or use a rideshare service to get to the Aspen Grove Trailhead. After arriving at the trailhead, follow the marked trail to Stewart Falls. Note that public transportation may require more planning and can be limited on weekends.

• Hiking

  Once you are at the Aspen Grove Trailhead, you will find a clearly marked trail leading to Stewart Falls. The hike is approximately 1.5 miles one way and is considered moderate in difficulty. Be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. The trail is well-maintained, but it can be steep in sections. Follow the signs towards Stewart Falls, and within about 30-45 minutes, you will reach the beautiful waterfall. Enjoy the stunning views and remember to take your camera for some great photos!
