If you are driving from central Vernal, Utah, start by heading north on US-191. After approximately 4 miles, you will see the entrance to Steinaker State Park on your right at 4335 N Hwy 191. Follow the signs to the parking area. There is a day-use fee of $10 per vehicle, which you will need to pay upon entry.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options in the Uintah Basin are limited, but you can take the Uintah Basin Transit Authority bus from various points in Vernal. Make sure to check their schedule as it does not run frequently. The nearest bus stop to Steinaker State Park is along US-191. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile south on US-191 to reach the park entrance. Be aware that walking along highways can be treacherous, so proceed with caution.
