Car
To reach the Utah State Capitol by car, start by navigating to Salt Lake City. If you're coming from the north (Ogden), take I-15 South until you reach the I-80 East exit towards Cheyenne. Merge onto I-80 East and then take the exit for 600 South. Follow 600 South until you reach State Street. Turn right onto State Street and continue for about 0.5 miles. The Utah State Capitol will be on your left at 350 State St, Salt Lake City, UT 84103. Parking is available in the lot adjacent to the Capitol building, but there may be a fee depending on the time of day and availability. Alternatively, if you're coming from the south (Provo), take I-15 North and exit onto I-80 West, then follow the same directions from there.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Utah Transit Authority's (UTA) TRAX light rail system. Head to the nearest TRAX station and board the Blue Line towards the Salt Lake City International Airport. Get off at the 'Capitol Hill' station. From there, it's a 10-15 minute walk to the Utah State Capitol. Exit the station, head east on 300 South towards State Street, then turn right on State Street and walk north until you reach the Capitol at 350 State St. This option is cost-effective, with a one-way fare typically costing around $2.50.
