Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading south on US-89 or I-15 depending on your starting point in the Wasatch Range. If you're near Provo, you can take US-189 south towards Springville. Once you reach Springville, take the exit for US-6 east towards Nephi. Follow US-6 for approximately 20 miles until you see signs for Nebo Loop Road. Turn onto Nebo Loop Road and follow the scenic byway which offers breathtaking views, especially during the fall. Note that there may be a small fee for parking or access to certain areas along the byway.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a bus from Provo to Nephi. Check with the local transit authority for schedules and routes. Once in Nephi, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Nebo Loop Road entrance. Keep in mind that public transportation may not run frequently, so be sure to check the schedules ahead of time. Additionally, you may incur costs for the bus fare and the taxi or rideshare service.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, biking is an option if you're in close proximity to the scenic byway. From Nephi, you can bike directly to Nebo Loop Road. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks, as amenities may be limited. The ride will be uphill, so be prepared for a workout. Always wear a helmet and follow traffic safety guidelines.

• Hiking

  If you're already in the vicinity and enjoy hiking, consider taking one of the trails leading to Nebo Loop from nearby trailheads. Trails may vary in difficulty, so make sure to check trail maps and choose an appropriate route based on your fitness level. Always carry enough water and snacks for your hike.
