Car
If you're traveling by car within the West Desert area, head east towards US-40 from your location. Follow US-40 for approximately 50 miles until you reach the junction with US-191. Turn north onto US-191 and continue for about 25 miles. Then, take the exit toward Jensen and follow the signs to Quarry Visitor Center at 11625 E 1500 S, Jensen, UT 84035. The visitor center is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in the West Desert area. If available, take a Greyhound bus to the nearest station in Vernal, Utah. From Vernal, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Quarry Visitor Center. The distance from Vernal to the visitor center is about 30 miles, and taxi fares may vary, typically ranging from $40 to $70. Make sure to check the schedule for the bus service and plan your transportation accordingly.
