Car
If you are driving from Bukhara city center, head west on Gorkiy Street toward the A380 road. Merge onto the A380 road and continue for approximately 10 kilometers. You will see signs for Buxora. Follow the signs to Registan, where Buxora is located. There is parking available near the site, but ensure to check local regulations regarding parking fees, which may vary.
Public Transportation - Minibus
From Bukhara city center, find the minibus stop near the Bukhara Regional Museum. Take a minibus heading towards Registan. The fare is usually around 2,000 UZS (approximately $0.20). The journey will take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Buxora, and they will drop you off nearby. Be prepared to walk a short distance to the actual site.
Taxi
You can also hire a taxi from anywhere in Bukhara. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should be around 15,000 to 25,000 UZS (approximately $1.50 to $2.50) depending on your starting point and traffic conditions. The ride will typically take around 20-30 minutes. Confirm that the driver understands your destination is Buxora, located in Registan.
Walking
If you are staying in a nearby hotel in the Registan area, walking to Buxora is a pleasant option. Ensure you have a map or GPS on your phone to guide you. The highlighted path will take you through local streets, providing a cultural experience. It's approximately a 1.5 km walk from the center of Registan, taking around 20-25 minutes.
